Zapiekanka (Polski pronunciation: [zapʲɛkaŋka]; plural: zapiekanki, pronounced [zapʲɛkaŋkʲi]) is an open sandwich made from a portion of Baguette bread or other long bread, filled with stir-fried white mushrooms, cheese, sometimes other supporting ingredients, then baked until the cheese on top melts.
