Comté is a cheese from the Jura region of France that uses raw cow's milk. This Comté cheese is a family of Gruyère cheeses made in France.


The milk used in making Comté cheese is only milk derived from Montbéliard and Pie-Rouge cattle. The milk is milk taken in summer.


When compared with other cheese that uses milk from winter the Comté has a sharper raa. The weight of this cheese ranges from 30 to 55 kilograms. Comté cheese has a hard texture with thick skin.


The skin has a golden yellow to brown. This cheese is a very aromatic cheese and tastes a bit spicy but sweet. Comté can be used for fondue, canapé, and fish or seafood dishes. To store Comté cheese used perforated aluminum paper.
