Tartar sauce

The tartar sauce  is a creamy white sauce for a variety of fried seafood made from mayonnaise and cucumber pickles in bottles, capers, onions (or chives) and fresh parsley leaves (parsley).

Small pieces of boiled eggs, olives and horseradish are also often added to the taste of the person who made them. Tartar sauce is sometimes added a bit of vinegar to be fresher. Cream tartar (cream of tartar) is a chemical to make cakes and has nothing to do with tartar sauce.

The name of the tartar sauce is derived from the name of the Tatar tribe of Mongolia because of the sleek texture of the sauce.
