chaumes -

Chaumes is a soft-textured French cheese made with pasteurized pasteurized milk. This cheese is one of the cheeses popular in France and is produced by a cheese company called Fromageries des Chaumes.

The skin of cheese Chaumes is soft textured and has a bright orange color. Meanwhile, the interior of this cheese is smooth, supple and elastic. Since 1977 Chaumes cheese has been made in the town of Saint Antoine de Breuilh in the Dordogne department. This cheese-making recipe remains the same since it was first made in 1971.

Chaumes cheese was washed and brushed several times during the process of maturation. The process of maturation is very important in creating the aroma of this cheese.
