Moussaka is a food that comes from Greece and Turkey. The main ingredients of Moussaka are eggplant and tomato. Added also minced meat and cheese. The combination of soft texture and the distinctive taste of eggplant with meat, so intriguing with a distinctive oriental flavor typical of the Indonesian tongue. The shape almost resembles Skotel (roasted macaroni).


Greek Moussaka consists of three layers. The bottom layer consists of sliced aubergine stir fried with olive oil. The second layer is minced meat (usually lamb) cooked with onion, garlic, chopped tomatoes and spices (cinnamon and black pepper).


And the third or last layer is bechamel or egg custard sauce. Each layer is cooked each and then baked simultaneously until the top of the dough is browned. The shape almost resembles Skotel (roasted macaroni)
