Apple sauce is a sauce made
from boiled and melted apples. Unpeeled or unusable apples and different spices
or additives such as cinnamon can be used. Sugar or high fructose corn syrup is
sometimes added to the apple sauce to make it sweet.
Apple sauce can look sharp
or rough, and can include large pieces of apples. Very easy to make at home,
and also sold semi-finished in supermarkets as a general or light food for
children and people who have dentures or other problems with their teeth.
Parents often feed their babies with applesauce. Sometimes it is recommended to
reduce diarrhea, because it is high in dietary fiber.
