yeot -

Yeot () is a traditional Korean type of candy and sweetener commonly superimposed on pastry ingredients. Yeot is thought to have been made by Korean society since ancient times.

Koreans use yeot as a sweetener as well as a snack, as well as a souvenir that grandparents usually give to their grandchildren.

Yeot is popular as a sweetmeat given to students who will take the exam. In Korean, there is the term "sticky with exams", so students in Korea will be given a sticky yeot candy to pass the exam. Therefore during the test period, many sold yeot on the streets.
