Langir or merbuan (Albizia saponaria) is a kind of tree member of the tribe of Fabaceae. Pepagannya contains saponins, which make them foaming in water, and can be used-especially in the past-as soap and hair wash. This small tree spread in Malaysia, Philippines, and parts of Indonesia.

The names of the area include langir (Mly.), Merbuan (Blt.), Fofau (Ternate, Halmahera), patèh abal (Ambon), and others. In the Philippines it is known as mutual loss, whereas in English it is called whiteflower albizia.
