Gyūdon (牛
丼 ?
beef, bowl) or beef bowl is a Donburi Japanese food of a bowl of white rice on
which is placed sliced beef stomach and onions that have been cooked with soy
sauce and sugar. As flavouring, on top is often added ginger pickled
(benishōga), a mixture of spices and chilli called shichimi or raw chicken eggs
to taste.
Gyūdon comes from a food
called Sukiyakidon (sukiyaki donburi), so often found gyudon who wear shirataki
as well as sukiyaki.
