Agemochi (揚
げ
餅?)
Is a famous Japanese snack made from fried mochi. Mochi that has been dried and
then made into small pieces, about 1 cm, diced and fried. It is usually eaten
salty, but there are also various flavored versions, such as shichimi agemochi,
agemochi covered with shichimi spice. Agemochi can be bought anywhere in Japan
and also a home-based snack.
