Puyonghai or commonly referred to as fu yong hai or fu yung hai (Hanzi: 芙蓉 , hanyu pinyin: fú róng dàn) is a Chinese dish made from eggs mixed with vegetables, meat or seafood. The contents of the mix can be a subtle pork chop, chicken meat, beef, crab meat, and so forth. Fu yong hai is eaten with a sweet tamarind sauce usually made from tomatoes and peas, but there is also a sauce accompanied by pineapple pieces in it. The name Fu yong hai means a piece of fu yong egg. This dish comes from Chinese recipes in Shanghai.
