Nikujaga ( potato meat?) Is a Japanese food made from meat, potatoes and onions, boiled for sweet with sugar seasonings, soy sauce and mirin.

In western Japan, the meat used is Mayqueen beef with potatoes. While in eastern Japan use pork with potatoes type Danshaku.

Nikujaga comes from a meat stew served by the Royal Navy. The food is nutritiously balanced so it is used as food in the Japanese navy and extends among the Japanese people.
