Indoctrination is
a process done on the basis of a value system to instill ideas, attitudes,
systems of thought, behaviors and beliefs. This practice is often distinguished
from education because in this action the indoctrinated person is expected not
to question or critically examine the doctrine they have learned. Instruction
based on the principles of science, in particular, can not be called
indoctrination because the basic principles of science require critical
self-evaluation and skeptical inquiry of the mind itself.
