Espresso is a beverage produced by extracting ground coffee beans by spraying hot water under high pressure.Espresso comes from Italian which means express or "quick" because it is made to be served immediately to the customer.

In espresso there are more than six hundred components of chemicals including sugar, caffeine, protein, emulsions of coffee oil, colloids, and coffee particles in suspension with small gas bubbles.

In each espresso there is a component called crema which is a golden foam consisting of oil, protein, sugar floating on the surface. Technically, espresso is obtained when 45 ml of water is ejected past 7 to 9 g of ground coffee at a temperature of 90 ° C with a pressure of 9 atmospheres.
