Apokat (KBBI: Avokad), avocado, or Persea Americana are fruit-producing plants of the same name. This plant originated in Mexico and Central America and is now widely cultivated in South America and Central America as a monoculture plantation and as a garden plant in other tropical regions of the world.

Trees, with stems reaching height 20 m with leaves 12 to 25 cm long. The flowers are hidden in yellowish green and 5 to 10 millimetres in size. The size varies from 7 to 20 centimetres, with a mass of 100 to 1000 grams; large seeds, 5 to 6.4 centimetres.

The fruit is of a buni type, has a soft, uneven skin that is dark green to purple brownish, depending on the variety. The apocal fruit flesh is light green near the skin and light yellow near the seed, with a soft texture.
