Anisakis is
a genus of parasitic nematodes that attack fish and marine mammals. These worms
can also attack humans who eat raw fish and cause anisakiasis disease. In some
cases, the body can produce immunoglobulin E to fight this parasite and trigger
an allergic reaction such as anaphylaxis.
