Trachoma is a contagious eye disease and is one of the causes of blindness. Trachoma is caused by Chlamydia trachomatis bacteria with flies as its intermediate. Trakomas are more common in countries with low levels of hygiene and dry and hot climates such as countries in the Asian and African continents.
