Melonpan
(melonpan bread, melon bread) or written melon pan is a sweet bread from Japan
in the form of bread layered biscuit dough (pastry) on it. Although it is
called melon bread, it does not taste melon at all, it's just a round shape and
the top of bread like melon skin.
The top of this bread is
crisp and crisp thanks to the dough of biscuits placed on bread before baking.
Biscuit dough is made from eggs, flour, sugar, and butter. Melonpan comes from
melon (English) and pan, Portuguese for bread.
In the Kansai region,
including Kobe and Kyoto, there is a melonpan form that is not round but an
oval like a ball for American football. Melonpan like this popular with the
name "sunrise". Among other variations of melonpan there are melonpan
that are actually given melonpan perisa or maple syrup, mixed with chocolate
grains, or filled with vla.
