Jeolpyeon (절편) is a kind of rice cake (tteok) originating from Korea. Jeolpyeon is made from steamed rice and printed rice powder dough forming patterns using a molding tool.

This cake has a sticky and chewy texture and is not filled with sauce but flavored with sesame oil to keep it from sticking and also to make the surface oily and add to the taste.

In the usual dough jeolpyeon added roots surichwi plant material and then formed rounded like a wheel shape. Jeolpyeon is also called surichwitteok which is eaten on Dano's big day every 5th of 5th month of Korean calendar.
