(German, apple wine), is a German term meaning apple juice (sari). Apfelwein is
made from apple juice that has been fermented using yeast. It produces about 6%
alcohol. Apfelwein is produced and consumed most in Hesse, especially in
Frankfurt, Wetterau, and Odenwald.
